AIMS AND OBJECTIVES OF KEGITE CLUB 1 Social entertainment between students 2 We assist our fellow students academically. 3 To create a cordial relationship between our lecturers and students. 4 To imbibe our fathers club. 5 We shun and preach against cultism. 6 We expose any cultist found in our midst. 7 We assist student member financially. 8 To promote our moral behavior and command respect among our superiors. 9 We shall all acts of tribalism and favoritisms. OFFICERS OF THE CLUB AND THEIR FUNCTIONS The officers of Kegites club are also Known as G-Lords or Ground Councilor headed by the incumbent (A.B). This comprises of very Karid, comrades or fellows (if it is a onvergence) are usually selected and in case of a chief, the process known as Elder’s sitting. It’s done by the formal Eldersises council headed by the XY Elder of the Ilya. The elected chief can reshuffle its cabinets as many time as possible. He performs all functions of a chief except he cannot dekeg but can only make a recommendation to the chief. He cannot dress like a chief i.e wearing of robe (Agbada, Beads and holding of staff of office(horse tail). • ELDA(ELDER) He ranks second in an ilya. He preside over elder’s sitting/night. In the absence of the chief, he organizes mini tappings, maigrations, Obenge and meetations etc. He identifies the chief (Elect) at Egungun stage. He presided over an ilya on the suspension of the chief. • FEDA (FEATHER) He is the General Secretary of the ilya. He acts in the absence or suspension of the elder. He coordinates the ilya if the chief and elder is not around. The only thing is that he cannot dress, vibrate and dekeg as a chief. He writes down the proceedings at meetation, he writes and receives all correspondence on behalf of the ilya. • PARROTS He is the P.R.O. of the ilya. He is the 4th in ranking in the cabinet of the ilya. He edited and takes charge of all publication of the ilya. He parotise all internal and external information of the ilya. • PROVOST MARSHALS He is charge in restoring order and ensures comrade are attentive during vibrations of the chief. He is military security or comrade responsible for the security of the chief and other kariable souls. He seizes regalia or capito of suspended member. • COWRIE He collects all monies and dues on behalf of the ilya. He is the financial Secretary to the ilya. He is a signatory to the bank account of the ilya. • PURSITO (WORLD BANK) He keeps the financial records of the ilya (club). He is the Treasurer of he ilya. He is director of finance. • PHILOSOPHER OR OBSERVER He is the Key tutoriser of the intending member as regarded as the wisest comrade. He interprets the leaf ticket through by any comrade who is executed to go out by the chief or person in charge. He works with the chief to organize the gyration arena. • TAPA (TAPPER) He brings palm wine to the gyration ground. He ensures the availability of palm wine at the appointed time in the gyration Arena. He acts as emergency pourer if the lupour is not around. • LUPOUR He brings emblem and palm wine for the chief to bless. He shares palm wine to kariable G’s during gyration. He ensures that H2O is available during coronation and induction. • CURATOR He is in charge of the properties of the ilya. He takes care of the regalia of the chief and others before possession at the gyration ground. • COMMISSIONER FOR GYRATION He is the chairman, gyration awareness committee. He is to work with the chief to organize the gyration arena and ensure it neatness. He works with the H.O.S. to ensure a hitch free gyration. • ADJUCTANT (AJUTANT) He is the personal security officers to the chief. He carries chief’s luggage’s and migrates with him to functions. He works with marshal to ensure good gyration. • DIRECTOR OF SONGS (D.O.S.) He recommends the songitos. He co- ordiantes the function of Songitos. He directs the songs. He teaches the Songitos and Comrade how to sing new and difficult songs. • SONGITO He is the Singer. He sings in gyration ground. He acts according to D.O.S. directives to ensure good and appropriate songitization. • MIGRATOR He is in charge of Ketekete for migration. He collects migration olasious genotype. He migrate with chief in any migration. • WELFARIZER He is responsible for welfarization kariable souls. He makes sure that everybody in gyration arena is happy. He shares solidify with the chief’s directive. • CRIKCET He vibrate in songises during procession. He is in charge of constructing, reconstruction of the shrine. • HEAD OF DRUM (H.O.D) He recommends the appointment of drumitos. He advise the ilya on the type of drums to buy. He advocate for the maintenance and repairs of drums. He co-ordinates and responsible for the activities of drumitos in gyration ground. • DRUMITO He drumatize during gyrations. He co- operates with H.O.D to ensure that drums are maintained. He ensures the rotation of the drums at the normal time. • ZOO COMMANDANT He is the security of the zoo. He ensures that there is appropriate discipline in the zoo. He is the one to allow any karible G’ to enter the zoo to teach intending comrades, apart from chief and philosopher. • SPIDER He is the one in charge of Designing of regalia and other things.
